The All new Stampede™ sheetmetal line is highlighted by these great onepiece stretched custom gas tanks. The tanks are 14 gauge deep-drawn mild steel for optimal fit and finish. They are joined with amazingly smooth welds that ensure an effective seal and save prep time. Tank is mounted to the frame using the supplied weld-on brackets. Installed brackets mount to the gas tank using a sweet recessed grommet mounting system that isolates the tank from vibration and optimizes the sleek custom look. Etch coat sealer prevents corrosion and provides ideal primer/paint adhesion. This is a builder’s tank kit, complete with frame-weld brackets, grommets & mounting hardware, stainless filler bung, stainless 13/16" (22mm) petcock bung, stainless breather tube and stainless rear mounted gas crossovers tapped for 1/8" NPT unions. Ideal for custom applications, these tanks are available in several sizes, each in your choice of pop-up or screw-in gas cap bung (cap not included, sold separately). Tanks hold 3 1/2 to 4 gallons depending on part number.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All gas tanks must be pressure tested, cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed before painting to protect the final finish and prevent internal rusting during winter storage. Always install the gas tank before painting to check fork, triple tree and handlebar control clearances.
